@Amazon operates under a "guilty until proven innocent" model.
Imagine if you were put in jail because someone ACCUSED you of a crime. Once you're put in jail you're allowed to appeal your accusation. You were never told what your crime was because that information is confidential. While you are blindly appealing this crime, the government seizes all of your assets and will not return them until you successfully appeal your crime. This is fine, you think to yourself. I didn't do anything wrong. Easy win. Your first appeal is denied. You aren't told why. "Confidential, better luck on the next one". Still in jail. Life savings still on hold. Mortgage payment still due. Kids hungry at home. You're allowed phone calls to a public defender, but they have no access to the details about your case. They barely speak your language, do not live in the same country as you, and have more incentive to get you off of the phone than to help get you out of jail. New appeal, more detail. Denied. Confidential. Better luck next time. Mortgage still due.
Amazon is LITERALLY doing this to THOUSANDS of small businesses across the USA. How is an AMERICAN company allowed to treat AMERICAN small business owners like we're operating in communist USSR?
