Instead, they kept picking up this faint, uniform microwave hiss coming from everywhere. Couldn’t get rid of it. Turns out? It was the leftover glow from the Big Bang itself, the cosmic microwave background, the afterglow of creation. Lucky cosmic static FTW. Think about that timeline.
