🗣️ @AP9_ “South America deserves a World Cup. We have good stadiums, good vibes, good countries. It would be an amazing experience. Maybe somebody can produce a bigger cheque. Maybe rugby needs that, but this would be a vision decision not only based on economics." @TimesSport
🆕Exclusive: South America to bid for the 2035 or 2039 World Cup; shared between Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil. I met Gus Pichot to discuss that, R360, Nations Champ, 'Greatest Rivalry' & rugby's selfish 'survival mode'. Gracias @AP9_ @TimesSport thetimes.com/sport/rugby-uni…

Stephen. We have a super rugby league and an amazing grass root rugby a hp plan since 2010 helped by NZ SA and AU . Bernard Lapasset helped a lot those days also; we never forget people that have helped Argentina rugby… and clubs that helped us to have a career as well
No-one ever lifted a finger to help Argentine rugby. Kicked out of Super Rugby. None of their players based at home. They must be exhausted. But they play great and stylish rugby. Sporting nobility.

We lost the fight on rules… ok,have no problem Scotland and others using players that r from investments with sweat blood and tears from grass roots n development of HP from some countries…BUT then, like football; give them resources to continue 2 do those investments…Win-win

That is character from 🇦🇷Los Pumas. What a comeback vs 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scotland. One of the greatest ever responses. From 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿21-0🇦🇷 down to victory: 🇦🇷31-24🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. 100% homegrown team. Every player is from Argentina born and raised.

Feel officials are looking to use yellow and red card cards rather than give players benefit of the doubt. The game is far quicker, cleaner and safer than it’s ever been ( with amazing medics) so rugby collisions will happen especially with two men in the tackle. Spoiling games.

No. Wr should invest yes; but the professional game should pay as Football does on using players. Thats real professionalism

WR should bring in funding rewards and incentives to those who invest in local youth development systems. Instead they spend significant "Tier 2" designated money on projects like Moana Pasifika that is 90% NZ grown players. And cut funding for SRA or Rugby Europe that does.

How many Japanese born players? Maybe is time to bring a transfer market? Some Countries invest in grass roots development of HP and then?
