Representing the Abdominal and Pelvic Pain Special Interest Group of IASP. International and interdisciplinary collaboration around the treatment of pain
Thank you for the excellent questions so far! The tougher and more critical - the better. We want good discussion and debate about back pain.
If you don’t want to post publicly, feel free to DM me or email me ☺️
Hi folk with interest in low back pain🤓
I'll be hosting a free Cognitive Functional Therapy webinar/Q&A with @PeteOSullivanPT in June, date TBC, keep a look out👀
If you have suggestions on what you'd like covered, get in touch. Otherwise, hope to hear your juicy Qs in June😍

When I saw you on rounds that morning you were quiet. Your eyes looked in my direction but were otherwise vacant.
This was a change.
Me: "You okay?"
You: "Yup."
There was coolness in the way you spoke. After that, you turned away from me and faced the wall.
Ooph.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend #ISPP2023, 1-4 Oct in Halifax, Canada. This symposium will include innovative pediatric pain science and feature keynote plenary lectures, concurrent sessions, and workshops. Submission Deadline: 12 January 2023 bit.ly/3TmJ3OP
Pelvic health research does feel 15-20 years behind MSK. I’m reading more and more trials of intravesical PRP for bladder pain. I’m dubious to say the least.
People with #PelvicPain in #WNY feel fortunate to have our EPPIC study in #Buffalo!
(Fun fact: Did you know #UBuffalo has collaborators? Thank you to prestigious universities @UCLA & @UMich — our collaborators!)

🧵I've been pretty bad about sharing my new pubs, but this just dropped. This paper was led by Dr. John Poehlmann, a former resident here in @WiscObGyn. We examine racial differences in post-c-section pain treatment and experience in a single center 1/

Congrats to my colleague and friend @PelvicPainEndo research director @DrPaulYong for winning the @CanSAGE Gynaecologic Excellence Award! Well deserved…
Wrapping up #IASP2022 by describing the @EmpoweredRelief line of science.
So pleased to co-present with rockstars @JARabbitts @terrivoe and Dr Marco Battalgia
Occupational lifting does not cause LBP, albeit they are associated. That’s the take-home message in the study we present now #IASP2022 (poster 294) @RenemanMichiel
