I know your favorite trader has taken a $2k account and ran it up to 600k 14 times this year. Im not that guy, i have the risk tolerance of an eclair. i started trading in 2017, when i was in my 20s and making a shit ton of money (for me) and wanted to get rich. I never blew up an account but i lost money consecutively for the next 4 years, coming in and out of trading when it appealed to me and then id come on Twitter and see everyone making all the right plays all the time and taking home my salary in a month and i would get discouraged and quit again but the love for trading, that passion, though dormant at times never dissipated, but why couldn't i make money? I left trading completely in 2021 when i heard about NFTs and crypto. Started wheeling and dealing magic internet photos, made a killing (for me), the most money id ever made in my life. Then that fizzled out, but now i had felt what it was like to make serious money, and i wanted that feeling again. I took this newfound cockiness and came back to stocks/options ready to make it my bitch, but still i kept losing. Around Christmas of 2023 i decided that 2024 was going to be my year. I was going to give it my all, i would work my ass off after market close, sifting through charts, option flow, twitter, IBD, soaking up everything i could. i made a pact that i would post charts/flow that looked good to me on my twitter every night, that way in the morning i could come and see what the plan was going in to the day, i did this to hold myself accountable, i did this for me, but what ended up happening was it started picking up traction, i started getting followers! People whom i look to for advice and wisdom were now following me! I started getting offers, offers to promote a platform, to join a small group chat, to help out with flow in a trading discord, and along the way these habits i had made for myself, these steps i took to hold myself accountable, i started to see the results in my trading, i noticed that i stopped watching my PnL, i stopped getting upset over losses, my emotions started to level out, i was getting in the zone and holy shit i was making money consistently! I still have a lot of work to do, this was a pretty easy market year and im well aware that if I wasnt so well placed for elections my % return would look a lot different. i still have a lot of work to do, but my god does it feel good to beat the market, to have a profitable year. Im pretty much done for the year, especially after today im mostly cash so this is a fair assessment of my year. 51%, im thrilled. I havent made serious money yet, but i will. I know that now. Im here now, i have a seat at the table, and im not fucking leaving.

$SPY $QQQ For me personally, besides an OSCR position im back on the sidelines. A lot of tickers still look great, but im in the business of capital preservation and my trading history has taught me that my edge isnt as prevalent when the SPY and QQQ are trading below the 21sma. Could this be like 10/10 of last year, it could yes, but id rather wait and know for sure.
