Honestly, I don't mind realignment in #CollegeFootball. I've long wondered why the top 32 teams don't leave the NCAA behind and start a college version of the NFL.
But this Cal and Stanford to the #ACC stuff is beyond stupid.
Ki, from the Faroe Islands, are playing Molde of Norway in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
They are 4 games away from the Champions League.
Having a team from the Faroe Islands in the group stage would be wild!
Padres trade was a good one. Not out of it yet, but they have a good hill to climb to make the postseason. Hill and Choi are good rental pieces to overcome that without sacrificing financial flexibility on Verlander that could go towards Ohtani #MLBTradeDeadline
Thread: If USL are serious about pro/rel and ensuring they survive long term, they need to get into San Francisco.
San Jose will never let an MLS team in SF. With the right public/private partnership to update Kezar, they could draw a crowd easy.
Do you get there via expansion, or do you hope someone like @SFGlensSC or @SFCityFC get promoted quickly is the question.
Some other cities that come to mind: Boston proper, Cleveland & Columbus, Baltimore, Virginia Beach, Wilmington, NC.
Out west Denver and Dallas proper, a return to OKC, Little Rock, Inland Empire area.
Merge with NISA to start your new pro league and hit the ground running while bolstering the amateur ranks with NISA Nation teams.
Soon as LIV announced their team structure I thought the PGA should do something similar, but take inspiration from F1 and base it around sponsors. Team Callaway, Team Nike, etc.
Now you can have, like F1, a single championship and a team championship.

Okada has been acting like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino all year, only to find out last night that he's actually still one of the kids, and he's been playing on Bryan Danielson's lawn. #ForbiddenDoor
A thread. Wound up in a Siberia themed rabbit hole this morning. Got me thinking: what if Siberia was it's own country, and in the AFC for soccer?
It would be the 18th largest nation in Asia with a GDP of US $400 billion.
Finding information on soccer in Siberia is, not unsurprisingly, difficult.
Here are all the teams I could find through Wikipedia.
Tom Tomsk
Novosibirsk
Dynamo Barnaul
Tyumen
Irtysh Omsk
Luch Vladivostok
SKA-Khabarovsk
Ufa
Yenisey Krasnoyarsk
Ural Yekaterinburg
Thinking of my earlier CPL tweet, I looked at the markets with rumored interest on Wikipedia and realized they could have enough for a 12 team first division and 14 team second division.
Both leagues would play 33 games coast to coast with provincial leagues below that.
Canadian League Two:
St John's
Moncton
Laval
Montreal
Kitchner-Waterloo
Niagara Region
Durham Region
Mississauga
Regina
Saskatoon
Fraser Valley
Barrie
Then a reborn Edmonton and FC London.
