ASEAN-IPR and CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation just convened the Introductory Training on Conflict Analysis and Conflict Resolution from 3–5 June 2026 in Jakarta. This marked the second iteration of a modular training series jointly developed and organised by the two institutions. Through simulation, panel discussion, facilitator-led sessions, group exercises, and self-reflective learning methods, participants explored key concepts and approaches in conflict analysis, peace-making, and conflict resolution within the ASEAN context. The programme also provided space for participants to deepen their understanding of conflict analysis tools and conflict resolution approaches, while reflecting on the roles of international and regional organisations in peace and security, as well as ASEAN’s existing conflict resolution policies and mechanisms. #ASEAN #ASEAN_IPR #ForgingandFosteringPeace #ConflictResolution #CMI

ASEAN-IPR brought together 22 youth participants from ASEAN Member States for an online Focused Group Discussion, “Ground Zero: Conversations on Youth Violent Radicalization.” The session opened up an honest and meaningful space for participants to share their insights, perspectives, and lived experiences as peacebuilders and preventing radicalization amongst youths in the region. The discussion reflects the important role of young people in shaping more inclusive and resilient communities, and contributes to the preparation of the upcoming ASEAN-IPR Course on Preventing Violent Radicalization, which is planned to be convened in person in the third quarter of this year. This project is supported by the Republic of Korea (@rokmissiontoasean) through ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) #ASEAN #ASEAN_IPR #ASEAN4Peace #ForgingandFosteringPeace #PVR #YouthEngagement
