The project will be developed on the 55 acres handed over by Thalaivar then CM Thiru @MKStalin’s #DravidiansModel Govt to the Union govt, about 2 years ago. The project picked up serious pace after we met with the Defence Secretary and Secretary of Civil Aviation in Nov 2023. The same month I also visited the proposed airport site along with TIDCO officials and district administration and also facilitated AAI’s request for a four-lane approach road. Following this we also held meetings with the Civil Aviation Minister and his team in 2024 and 2025.
