SPECT Studios has won a hotly contested competition for the @AlibabaGroup’s new Headquarters (Park C ) Campus Project in Hangzhou.
The project will be defined by a landscape that breaks new ground, creating an ecologically rich working environment.
Design inspiration comes from the Xixi Wetland, an icon of Hangzhou. Based on the local unique ecological environment, we created a design proposal focused on an interconnected network of layered design systems.
Water, biodiversity, people and culture come together in a webbed network of experience and natural beauty to create a stimulating and engaging campus environment for over 30,000 Alibaba staff.

We are excited to see that our project Prahran Square has won an Excellence Award for Urban Habitat/District Master Plan Scale at the 2022 CTBUH Awards!
Through the design process, the team created a new typology that fuses the forms of the urban park, square, amphitheatre, playground, lawn, streets, carpark, and retail. This mixture of uses reflects the energy and complexity of Prahran.
We are honoured to have received such recognition from one of the industry’s leading organizations, and we want to offer our congratulations to all other award winners from the conference.
Congratulations to our friends and collaborators at @3XN_GXN and @BVNArchitecture and client AMP - as it was recently announced that Quay Quarter Tower has been awarded the biannual International High-Rise Award in Frankfurt, Germany!
We collaborated with the 3XN led design-team to design all internal and external landscape spaces, including the incredibly special public podium rooftop garden featuring a stunning artwork with international artist Olafur Eliasson.
The outcome across Quay Quarter is a testament to the spirt of teamwork, drive and collaboration from all who were involved, which in turn has led to such a high-quality design outcome. We’re delighted to see the project continuing to receive recognition from around the world.
We are thrilled to announce that we will be working alongside Architectus, Yerrabingin Pty Ltd, and Hansen Yuncken on the @UNSW Health Translation Hub.
The public domain and landscape have been designed to respond to the long and layered history of the place. Responses to cultural history will be expressed through the design of the ground plane, planting, furniture, play elements and paving.
We look forward to bringing you more updates on the HTH as the development unfolds.

As part of the 9th Shanghai Landscape Forum, ASPECT Studios and @AECOM led a walking tour at 2 key completed projects in Shanghai: The Roof, which was a collaboration between ASPECT and @ateliersjnouvel, and the Xintiandi Nanly Shopping Centre by Aecom.
Aecom took guests through their Xintiandi Nanli Shopping Centre renovation, located at the core of the Xintiandi business district. The combination of the old Shanghai charm of the Shikumen buildings and the exquisite green space brings the romance of these areas back to life.
Aecom worked to optimise the urban space and enhance the city image with the overall renewal of the space, drawing it away from an outdated business format and recreating the Centre for a new generation.
