Another day & another driver putting lives at risk, this one 09:54 in a 30mph limit on the A358 at Henlade!
In the last 2 yrs (2023 & 2024) there were 876 fatal & serious injury collisions on @ASPolice roads. In more than half of these speed was listed as a contributing factor.

A woman sustained minor injuries but her dog had to be put to sleep.

Driver pleaded Not Guilty & as a vulnerable road user themselves (horse rider/cyclist) felt they had given sufficient room!
Adjourned several times but heard at NSMC 03/02/2025 & driver found guilty:

A teenager has sadly died after a collision near Frome.
Emergency services were called to the A362 Vallis Road after a RTC involving a blue Mazda at about 1.35am on Saturday 8 February.

Near miss reports provide us with a valuable insight & helps us understand more about the underlying risk & causations found in fatal & injury collisions. So far we've received 12k reports but only 214 have come from motorcyclists!
