Y'all, I want to brag on our volunteers for a second. They are so passionate that they're out knocking doors in feels like 100 degree weather - and also mowing lawns to help our friends and neighbors get their yard work done between rain storms!

Today I'm in Memphis with Representative Justin J. Pearson (TN-09), fellow BAC candidate Robb Ryerse, and local faith leaders to demand fair representation in Congress and stronger protections against racial and partisan gerrymandering.

The Supreme Court's failure to uphold the VRA only drags us back, and there is simply no justification for it. To be very clear, if your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't be working so hard to take it away. So please, don't give up hope, don't give up the fight.

These young women are confronting apathy and pursuing hope through action. The next generation will be buoyed by young leaders like Italia and Mya. These inspiring students know how we must move forward: honestly, proudly, and above all, with hope that things can be better.

Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. As a father and a gun owner, gun safety and common sense regulations are of the utmost importance to me. In Alabama, firearms are the number one cause of death for children and teens.
