Congrats to my friend and former co-fellow @ChitturuNiteesh for competing in his first triathlon! Love seeing fellow colleagues practice what they preach 🫀💪🏽
This weekend our 3rd year fellow @ChitturuNiteesh got his 🫀 pumping in the @ChicagoTri. You know he'll be able to respond to a STEMI under 90 minutes! #ChicagoTri #ChicagoTriathon

Unfortunately, with the new academic year, we do not only say goodbye (but see you later) to our amazing graduating fellows @Hiren_PatelMD, @Ruthvik_SM, @AShereMD, and Arturo but also to Superstar Attending and SLU Cards Fellow Alumni Dr. Stephanie Windish. You will be missed!

As a cardiologist, every day I see 2-3 patients who need clearance for surgery 🔪 ALL of them are on blood thinners🩸 Every surgeon wants to stop these medicines💊 The patients ask: Is it safe? Should I stop? Let's see how to deal with blood thinners before surgery 🧵👇

Avg median wait time from hospital dc to starting CR is nearly 40 days! At which point, in my experience most pts lack motivation to start. The future of CR must have a structured and accessible hybrid or fully virtual model that allows pnts to start day 1 post dc. #Prevention
A study published in #JACC found the rates of initiating participation in a cardiac rehab program continue to be low across the U.S., w/ a wide geographic variation in these rates, which was found to be related to poor availability of CR programs. bit.ly/42AjDmS
