This guy aims right for the very top. In a hypothetical league table of results since he joined (a relegation threatened team) we are solid 4th. I’ve taken us at 7th favourites at 33/1 to win the EPL. Don’t expect us to win but massive sample size now. Taking a trading position.

Unai Emery not even being nominated for manager of the season with a £28m net spend, a top 4 finish and a European trophy at a club that hasn't won a single thing in 30 years is wrong. But it doesn't hurt Villa or Unai Emery, it just ruins the legitimacy of the award.

Villa just finished a 56 game season winning a Europa league title and finishing 4th in the PL . In contrast Man U played 40 games won nothing and finished 6 point ahead in 3rd. Michael Carrick managed 18 of those PL games and is nominated for manager of the season and Unai not.
