The Southern Family of Calgary, Alberta transformed a former cattle feedlot into Spruce Meadows, building what would become one of Canadaâs most celebrated sport and community destinations.
The Southern Family will receive the Legacy Award on November 4th at the 70th Order of Sport Awards: Legacy Edition. Created to mark the 70th anniversary of Canadaâs Sports Hall of Fame, the Legacy Awards are a commemorative honour celebrating the individuals, families, and organizations whose contributions have helped shape the very fabric of sportâand societyâin Canada.
