Some people lead quietly but their impact is profound. They advocate for safer roadways. They honor lives lost in work zones. They rally others around the ATSS Foundation's mission - not for the recognition, but because roadway safety MATTERS. That is the definition of an ATSS Foundation Ambassador. Nominate an ATSS Foundation Ambassador because impact like theirs deserves to be celebrated. Foundation.ATSSA.com/Ambassa…. #SaferRoadsSaveLives #RoadwaySafety #ATSSFoundation

Recently, the Ohio #ATSSA Chapter participated in a successful Advocacy Day and provided testimony in support of Ohio HB 82, the Trenton Gallaway Work Zone Safety Act. This bill strengthens Ohio's work zone safety laws, increasing penalties for violations in construction zones, enhancing driver education, improving signage requirements and allowing flexible speed limits - all with the primary goal of reducing injuries and fatalities for roadway workers and motorists. Thank you to our ATSSA members for their continued support and focus on making our nation's roadways safer for all! Early this morning, the BUILD America 250 Act officially passed through the House T&I Committee and on to the full House for approval. Roadway and work zone safety are key points within this Act and are consistently top of mind with transportation industry workers, partners and legislators. #ATSSA is grateful for legislators like @RepBresnahan who work tirelessly to champion roadway safety and protect our vulnerable roadway workers with initiatives like the Preventing Roadside and Work Zone Deaths Act. Roadway safety continues to be a primary focus with surface transportation reauthorization legislation as it moves forward.
