With Hawk-Eye measured parameters, we can reverse engineer how much a pitch should move and juxtapose it to how much it actually moved. Comparing the two, we can see on a player pitch type basis who benefits from the Seam-Shifted Wake (SSW) effect: bit.ly/3ciUVhA

First we learn how to swing and throw. Then we learn how to hit and pitch. Eventually, we have to learn how to compete - the ability to manage distractions and consistently focus and commit to the right thing at the right time. One pitch at a time. This is the separator. ⚾️🧠πŸ’ͺ

Pitchers of all ages can safely train with #weightedballs, if windows of trainability are assessed & appropriate weights are used. Kids develop at different rates, so programs must be tailored to the individual. @tomhousesports elaborates: bit.ly/2LIAsci #TeamMSTRD

Multi-planar plyometric movements for pitchers. Rudimentary and advanced examples shown. NOT β€œpitching specific”. Multi-planar athleticism affords a greater solution space for movement on the mound. ⁦@ClemsonBaseball⁩

Everybody eat
The most important piece of equipment in a pitcher's velocity program is usually a fork. Time and time again, there is a very linear relationship between body weight and pitching velocity, particularly in amateur players.
