We are very excited about the possibilities our merger will unlock and the progress we can forge on behalf of all young people.
Together, we will leverage the strength and resources of both our organizations to move the younger generation’s policy priorities forward, expand the young adult footprint, and strengthen our Congressional relationships.
Young people represent the future of our nation. Their success will determine the long-term resilience and growth of our economy, civil society, and our democracy. Our mutual commitment to building young adult power remains undeterred and the combined force will bolster our work for years to come.” - Kristin McGuire, Executive Director of YI.

If there is one thing we have learned over the past six years at the Association of Young Americans, it’s that this work cannot be done alone – there is, truly, power in numbers. Joining forces with Young Invincibles will increase our capacity to advance the policies important to young people and significantly expand young Americans’ political representation across all 50 states.
Today’s merger is a substantive victory for the future of our generation, the health of our democracy, and the economic prospects of all young Americans in the 21st Century.” - Lisa Giordano
Back in May, we wrote to @JoeBiden urging him to cancel at least $50k in student debt/borrower.
It's now August, and payments are set to resume.
Still no action.
@POTUS, young voters are waiting for you to #CancelStudentDebt, broadly and boldly.
"Broad-scale debt cancellation would relieve the majority of our membership – and young people at large – of a crushing burden which has prevented them from reaching critical adult milestones and participating meaningfully in the economy."

As we digest the IRA, it's important not to lose sight that @POTUS should be working in concert w/Congress to fight climate chaos.
President Biden should a declare a #ClimateEmergency immediately and unlock all his executive powers to confront the fossil fuel industry head-on.
Means-testing #CancelStudentDebt is age discrimintory bc wages go up as you work longer, so older borrowers may be hitting $125k income but didn’t have ability to save for retirement or buy a house.
Technocrats- pls just listen to impacted people.
