More Star Wars Vision S3 “BLACK” BGs. That was a crazy side job for me, working on the project only late at night. I just remember being constantly tired doing them. Sometimes I wonder if they could have been better if I did them during the day.

Star Wars Visions S3 is out. I painted all the production backgrounds and color-script for “BLACK”, directed by legendary Shinya Ohira. It was roughly 100 shots. It was a true honor to have worked under his mindblowing vision, amongst some of the best animators in the industry.

10 years anniversary of Ping Pong the Animation. Time flies but I still feel incredibly lucky that I got to take on the background direction of the show. Being part of adapting a Taiyo Matsumoto's manga under Masaaki Yuasa's direction was once in a lifetime chance.

People need reflection. I regret not having more time with you. Your undeniable beauty and talent were not of this world, and a presence not of this world needs protection in a world that covets light and the anointing of God. You sir, moved us, stirred us, inspired and even intimidated others to action with your genius. Thank you for being a beacon of light to a generation and beyond who had no remembrance of the legacy that preceded us. Thank you for charting the course and for making space during a time when no similar space really existed. You imaged a unity of strength and sensitivity in Black manhood to a generation that only saw itself as having to be one or the other. It is my earnest prayer that you are in peace, far away from selfishness, fear and/or controlling interests. Far from possessiveness, far from greed, far from manipulation, far from exploitation, far from intentionally designed chaos and that you Brother are in peace, in bliss and in eternal light and fulfillment with our Father in heaven. I Love you and I miss you. May God grant peace and shelter to your family, true friends and genuine appreciators, Brother, King.

It was a true honor to work for the legend Shinya Ohira, on his Star Wars Vision short “Black”. The episode is an insane sensory experience. A true love letter to 2D animation. I painted all of the production backgrounds of the episode alone. Please look up to it.
