Alex Pretti was murdered.

I always try to be patient and have conversations across the aisle while showing mutual respect. But today I'm just mad. The truth is that millions of Americans need to grapple with the reality that innocent Americans like Alex who are dead today because they voted for Trump. A man who showed everyone exactly who he was before they chose to make him the guy.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
