First graders have been creating necklaces this week in art! They colored their own clay and then chose a textured design to press into it. Lots of “ooh’s” and “ah’s”!! @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
The ESE faculty and staff are being spoiled by the BEST PTO in the world! How cute is this theme for the week!? Thank you @PtoEagle for dedicating your time, creativity and energy into making us all feel so very special. We appreciate YOU!! @HumbleISD_ESE@HumbleISD
Wow! What a great turnout we had at the Fine Arts Festival yesterday! Grateful to Nurse Angie & Ms. Pessetti for taking time to volunteer with me. Congrats to all of our amazing artists and @ESEMusicDept for a job well done, glad I could watch! @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
HUGE congratulations to THE Humble ISD People’s Choice Award Recipient for Elementary at today’s District-wide Fine Arts Festival! ESE’s own first grader, Oliver H! What an amazing, well deserved honor. I love you, Ollie! @HumbleISD_ESE@HumbleISD@VisualArtHumble
Sometimes we do a quick one or two day project that ends up being a favorite for us all. My 5th graders blew me away! They showed they are painting skills with liquid tempura, their ability to add shade/reflections with oil pastel. Proud of them! @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
When you tell your kinder babies that they get to mix playdoh colors and create new ones, it’s a good day in art! We created color wheels today and sang some of our color songs too! It was fun watching them experiment! @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
Absolutely LOVE the chalk pastel gummy bears my 4th graders have been working on. 🥰 This messy but fun medium really helped them to understand how to add tint, shade, and light reflections. @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
I’m ready to welcome my silent auction winners to their paint party! Thankful for parents that not only support our school in fundraising, but also know the value of the arts in education. 🎨 @HumbleISD_ESE
So very proud! Hadley’s gorgeous artwork wasn’t only a finalist for best of show but has also been selected to be printed on the Humble Education Foundation’s annual postcards! How cool to have your artwork published when you are in 5th grade!? @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
100%, the best part of my job is when students see their hard work pay off and get to enjoy a moment that is all about them. 🥰 Here are a few sweet kiddos that represented ESE at the Humble ISD Rodeo Art Show. @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
We have some VERY excited Eagles who will have their art on display this weekend! Come see what our Visual Arts students across the district have been creating! 😍 @HumbleISD_ESE
Please come see the incredible award winning artwork created by @HumbleISD student artists at the Humble Rodeo Art Show. Receptions at the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center. Fri, Jan 27, 5-7pm & Sat. Jan 28,10am-3pm #WeAreTheLight#HumbleARTISTS
SO proud of my 3rd graders! They learned how to doodle as a background for leaves that we painted with washable markers. Many of them didn’t know that was even possible! I love showing my students new things. ❤️ @HumbleISD_ESE @VisualArtHumble
4th grade did a fabulous job learning wet on wet watercolor techniques & the art of perspective to create their fall forest projects. We learned how objects narrow as they move away from us and created the illusion of looking up in the trees. 🥰@HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
Fifth grade did a fabulous job on their O’Keeffe inspired form lesson. We learned about still life and used model magic to make 3-D fruit, using value to create the look of shadows and light reflections. @HumbleISD_ESE@VisualArtHumble
Veterans Day is always one of my most favorite celebrations at ESE! My dad has participated since my now 15 year old son was in kindergarten. Now it is just me and he still rides through on his Harley much to the kids excitement. Love my Marine! @HumbleISD_ESE
When your fifth graders love your “old timey” pencil sharpener and beg to sharpen pencils with it. You let them and explain that this is how we did things back in the 1900’s. 😂
