Two weeks ago, I experienced wheelchair rugby league after being invited to @England_RL training as they prepare for @RLWC2021.
It was tough, physical and requires incredible skill. I left aching and sore: but in awe of the sport and its stars.

No coincidence Wigan's upturn in form coincided with Oli Partington starting games at 13. One of the best 13s in the comp without the ball, he's now also one of the best with it too. A definite England contender

Official: Kevin Sinfield has been given a knighthood. He has promised to use his position as rugby league's second knight to continue to fight for those living with MND.

He's not the only rugby league individual to feature in the King's Birthday Honours. Dr Chris Brookes has received an MBE while Neil Fox has been given a CBE. Very well deserved

Bad news for Wakefield. Mason Lino could be missing for the next five or six weeks - and Oli Pratt out for around eight weeks.

Daryl Powell: "I thought Wigan were awesome from start to finish. We've got to learn some lessons and move on. I thought it was all Wigan. They completely dominated the game. We got beat in every facet of the game and we'll have to put it behind us and move on."
Absolutely no coincidence that Wigan's levels have gone up since Oli Partington has started games for them. Would be in my squad for the World Cup somewhere.
Warrington's decision to back youth is overdue but they're now massively reaping the rewards. All at the Wire deserve credit - and they're now even showing some clubs who used to excel in that regard how being brave with youth can pay off.

Warrington rightly derided in recent years for their lack of youth development. Now they deserve plaudits for getting it right. Top of the league with a squad full of talented academy products. Credit Gary Chambers for doing the ground work and Sam Burgess for believing in them.
Interesting that Paul Rowley is saying Saints need to take a cautious approach with Jake Davies' game-time and on the other side, Sam Burgess is throwing young kids in every single week seemingly without fear.
Different clubs and coaches have different approaches
Leeds Rhinos will not sign a half-back to replace Brodie Croft for 2027. They're now focussing on other positions and will instead back homegrown youngster George Brown to take the six shirt

Brad Arthur, as is tradition now, has named his team for the weekend early and said Leeds will roll with the same 17 in Toulouse with Jack Bird 18th man. A week too soon for Tom Holroyd. If only more coaches were so open!
Brad Arthur admits Leeds are 'aware' Morgan Gannon is pushing for a return to Super League in 2027 but stopped short of confirming the Rhinos will pursue a move to bring him back to Headingley.
