My big news: I've left The Athletic because they wanted me to stop covering the Twins.
I refused to give up my dream, so I'm betting on myself and returning to my independent roots.
I need your support to make it work. Join me and let's do this together: aarongleeman.com/welcome-to-β¦

Walker Jenkins (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Saturday with Low-A Fort Myers.
Jenkins, the Twins' top prospect, has been out since May 3 with a sprained shoulder.
He'll likely rejoin Triple-A St. Paul after a rehab stint.
Mick Abel came out of his first Triple-A rehab start "feeling good," according to general manager Jeremy Zoll.
Abel is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday and then will likely make a second rehab start at some point next week.

Mick Abel looked really good in his rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul.
Three scoreless innings on 47 pitches, with five strikeouts, no walks, and two hits allowed.
Fastball averaged 96.3 mph and topped out at 97.9.
Very encouraging after nearly two months on the injured list.
Twins pitching prospect James Ellwanger had a setback in his recovery from an elbow injury and is scheduled to see a specialist.
General manager Jeremy Zoll said, "We're anticipating this being a surgical case."
Ellwanger was the Twins' third-round pick in last year's draft.
Twins signed Carlos Silva (a catcher, not the same-named pitcher from the early 2000s) for $1.1 million as a 16-year-old from Venezuela in 2023.
He hit .199 in 95 games, never made it out of rookie-ball, and has now been released at age 20.
