After a tough start to the weekend we fought back well. We showed some good pace yesterday and today, finishing second on the Wolf Power Stage, second in the Super Sunday standings and fourth overall as part of a Toyota Gazoo Racing 1-2-3-4!

It's been great to be back in Japan again, to see the fans and to give these magnificent machines a proper send off on tarmac.
It's back to the loose from next month on with Acropolis Rally Greece as the second half of the season gets underway.
Four runs over Shakedown completed.
Happy with the third fastest time of the session and we're now looking forward to the first stages of the event tomorrow.
First, though, is the ceremonial start later today.

Good evening from Japan where we have just finished the recce!
It's been a pretty intense two days in order to recce everything this year compared to having three days in the past but having just one brand new stage helped us manage the compressed time scale.

We know most of the stages this year with the main variable being the change in season from autumn to Spring but hopefully it rematdry and we can enjoy a nice clean tarmac rally!

It’s rally week in Japan!
Rally Japan is probably the most important event for us each season, with it being Taka’s and #ToyotaGazooRacing’s home rally.
It’s one we always look forward to because of the incredible support and the smooth tarmac stages.

There’s one massive change this year, however. We’re here in May instead of the autumn so, temperatures are much higher, but there is also risk of heavy thunderstorms at this time of year!
Obrigado Rally de Portugal.
That was a tough test throughout and we're pleased to have come through it with fifth place overall and fourth in the Super Sunday standings.
Next stop Japan for Taka-san and Toyota Gazoo Racing's home event and the final tarmac event of the year.
Another day of Rally de Portugal reaches it's conclusion!
It's been a tough weekend so far, but we've come through all of the challenges we've faced to sit seventh overall ahead of Super Sunday.
Looking forward to tomorrow's four stages to end the event.
