This afternoon, Iโd like to share some of the stories behind a few accessories from
@PepeExplorers .
The collection was built over the course of an entire year alongside
@para__kingdom .
It all started with a simple conversation between the two of us. Paraโs talent speaks for itselfโheโs genuinely an artistic genius. I told him about the vision I had for the project: a highly space-themed universe filled with helmets and accessories that would often be challenging to design. Every day, I sent sketches, references, and ideas to help bring this world to life.
What began with just a handful of accessories slowly evolved over the year. More helmets, weapons, outfits, and concepts appeared, and little by little the Pepe Explorers universe took shape. A fun, eccentric, and galactic universe filled with clans, castes, and explorers more outrageous than anything we could have imagined. Para added countless small details that give incredible depth and personality to both the artwork and the world itself.
Let's start with the "Symbiote Infested Helm."๐ชธ๐๏ธ
In the Pepe Explorers universe, I always wanted aliens to be everywhere. Explorers travel across planets and encounter strange creatures, but those creatures aren't always hostile. In this case, a symbiotic being has merged with both Pepe's face and his helmet, granting him extraordinary strength and intelligence.
It's probably one of my favorite accessories. I love how the helmet and creature seem almost fused together. It makes you wonder what Pepe actually looks like beneath it. A small detail: PepeCat is hidden inside one of the creature's eyes. There are often PepeCat references throughout the collection because it was a memecoin I launched with Para and Jagged back in 2024 during the peak of the memecoin era. ๐ป
Many Pepe Explorers collectors are also lovers of PepeCat art, including
@10kai_nft , whom I'd like to thank for supporting our creations from the very beginning.๐
The "Gothic Astronaut Helmet" came from the idea of a clan of explorers obsessed with heavy metal music, something inspired by the spirit of Mad Max. There's definitely a completely insane Pepe hiding under that helmet.๐ถ
The "Draconis Spire" helmet was heavily inspired by Dune. I imagined warriors living on a desert planet, wearing transparent glass domes that protect them from an unforgiving sun. The helmet combines advanced technology with a minimalist design. These three helmets perfectly illustrate one of the collection's strengths: different planets, different cultures, different aesthetics.๐๏ธ๐
"Mama Frog" is a tribute to prehistoric cave art discovered in France. I wanted to create a nod to ancient tribal imagery while keeping that instantly recognizable Pepe face.๐ฆฃ๐พ
The "Alien Coke Can" is one of those companion accessories that adds extra depth to the collection. It's a funny idea: a small flying alien living inside a Coca-Cola can as if it were its personal spaceship. A mix of pop culture, aliens, and playful imagination.๐ฅค
And then there's "Pepeltres." If you haven't recognized it yet, it's inspired by the legendary Pokรฉmon Moltres. As I'm writing this, I'm wondering why I didn't call it "SulfuPepe" instead, but it's too late now. It deserves its own identity. There are actually several Pokรฉmon-inspired Pepes hidden throughout the collection. ๐
I hope you've enjoyed these stories. There will be many more to come soon.
Thank you all again for your enthusiasm and support.
