It’s International Safe Abortion Day and today we’re bringing you the story of one of the most expensive abortions SAFE/our partner activists have helped with. Your generous donations can help fund SAFE abortions #WeAreUNSTOPPABLE#SafeAbortionDay#UnstoppableMovement
ALT Background split into a white area at the top containing the title and sky blue area below containing main body of text. Title reads: “Today is International Safe Abortion Day” Subtitle reads: “What does SAFE do?” Main body of text reads: “We are part of Abortion Without Borders – Grassroots activists who are helping people get the abortions that states across Europe are failing to provide. We are a movement of people who will no longer politely ask for our rights. SAFE’s job is to support abortion activists on the frontlines, so they can focus on helping people get abortions. Today we want to highlight how it’s done, and the vast costs involved in something that should be a simple, non-complicated process.” On the bottom-left is some text that reads: “International Safe Abortion Day 28th September” SAFE logo is displayed at the bottom-right.
ALT Sky blue background with faded line drawing of a map of Europe. Title reads: “The big one!” Body of text reads: “Every abortion is different, and costs can vary widely. Justyna is found guilty of helping Anna (literally what the judge said), citing the article and paragraph of the law that says aiding and abetting abortion is illegal.
She is found not guilty of having pills with intent to distribute.
At the courthouse in Warsaw for Justyna’s fifth trial. Unbelievable that we are still here.
ALT A hand-painted sign with the words “Abortion Without Borders, 22-29-22-597, Aborcja Bez Granic”. The phone number is the Abortion Without Borders helpline.
Members of AWB giving a press conference. We all held abortion pills and told the truth: “we help with abortions, like Justyna, and it’s not a crime” #jakJustyna
For anyone wondering, statement by anti-rights group in #Poland trial of #abortion activist is blatantly false: abortion is a human right protected by intl human rights law as part of rights to health, bodily autonomy, privacy & more. See hrw.org/news/2022/06/24/qa-a…@hrw#IAmJustyna
We are in court today with Justyna giving her messages of solidarity and support from all over the world. Abortion is a human right.
