We’ve rolled out several updates! Our marketplace is now live where you can buy and sell registered .abs names: AbsNameService.xyz/market Also shipped several UI improvements across the app. Subtle, but a big difference on our end. Curious if you notice them too!

A bit of a late retweet, but yesterday I was invited by @chesus, @KennyPower, and @AnIdiot thanks again for having me, to talk about the latest @AbsNameService updates, future improvements, and what’s next. We also shared our perspective on where we stand with naming services for @AbstractChain, and why having this on-chain matters. Portal names are cool, but they’re not enough. The ideal setup is the best of both worlds: portal names ANS, giving users in the ecosystem the freedom to choose what fits them. The demand is clearly there, we’re just not fully where we want to be yet. Until the next space!

Wallet addresses are broken. 42 characters. Zero room for error. One typo… and your funds are gone. It has happened, with me, but probably with you too! Good morning ☀️ Let’s be real, the current flow is insane: Copy address → triple check → paste → check again → hesitate → send → pray… And we wonder why normal users stay away from crypto. @AbsNameService ANS changes this. 0x7a9F… → shroomy.abs Human-readable. No guessing. No stress.
If the name exists, it works. If not, it doesn’t. Simple. @AbstractChain The portal already fixes part of this UX. But let’s not ignore reality, a huge chunk (40% ) is still using MetaMask, Rabby, OKX Wallet… not AGW, or the portal. Meaning the problem isn’t fully solved yet. If we want real adoption, this is the layer that needs to be fixed. Names > hex. Always!!
