Islamic Religious Instruction, Combat Training And Hezbollah Sympathies. Welcome To The Peak District's Spiritual Warrior Camp. Sayed Hussain Makke ran his Spiritual Warrior camp again this month. Same location, Darwin Lake in the Peak District. A camp built around Islamic religious instruction, evidently aimed at young Muslim men, combining wrestling and combat training with theology sold under the language of God-centric masculinity and brotherhood. A year ago a 16-year-old who attended said it felt like Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's late leader, was with us again. Makke has mourned Hezbollah fighters, including a British friend who died serving the proscribed group, and has also glorified senior figures in Iran's Revolutionary Guard. He attended Nasrallah's funeral and praised the size of the crowd as proof the resistance was alive and well. Hezbollah's military wing has been proscribed in Britain since 2008, its political wing since 2019. Supporting a proscribed organisation carries up to 14 years in prison. Alicia Kearns, former chair of the foreign affairs select committee, has been reporting Makke to counter-terror police for months. This week he flew back into the country. Nothing happened. Her message to the Home Office was blunt. Months ago she handed the Government evidence about Hussain Makke. This week he walked into Britain unchallenged. If that is what stopping at nothing looks like, the Government's promises to Britain's Jewish community aren't worth the paper they're written on. Counter Terrorism Policing London's response was a sentence built entirely out of conditional clauses. Reports get reviewed. Reviews get passed on. Nothing closes the loop. When journalists reported on the camp, Makke's response, issued through a legal group, did not deny attending Nasrallah's funeral. It accused the Jewish Chronicle of being an asset of a hostile foreign regime and said British authorities should instead focus on tracking, capturing and imprisoning home-grown Jewish extremists who have served in the genocidal Israeli military. That statement was made by a man about to run a residential camp for teenagers, for the second year running, without having been arrested. And there's a dimension to this that gets lost when every story involving an Islamic preacher gets filed under one heading. Makke is a Shia cleric trained at a seminary in Lebanon under Hezbollah influence, now based in an area of southern Lebanon with a significant Hezbollah presence. He is not representative of British Muslims generally, the large majority of whom are Sunni and have no connection to this. But what he is building, year on year, looks exactly like the organised, identity-based recruitment that has reshaped local politics in towns like Kirklees: discipline, cohesion, a shared sense of grievance and mission, instilled early and reinforced annually. Whatever you think of that model, it works. The institutions meant to be watching for it are, by their own account, still reviewing. That asymmetry is the real story. A man with an open paper trail of pro-Hezbollah statements, openly hostile to British Jews in writing, runs annual camps for teenagers while an MP's repeated referrals sit in a queue. Henry Nowak's case showed what happens when officers are trained to treat a racism accusation as the primary fact requiring response. This is the same reflex from a different angle. A fear of how acting might look appears to carry more weight than a documented paper trail of supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation. Kearns has handed over the evidence. The question, asked directly, is whether anyone will open the file. "Makke has mourned Hezbollah fighters, including a British friend who died serving the proscribed group, and has also glorified senior figures in Iran's Revolutionary Guard."

Keir Starmer: "We don't have £4.5 billion for defence." Keir Starmer the next day: "I’m announcing £4.5 billion for more cycle lanes and zebra crossings." He’s just reached the point where he’s just laughing at us all now. You really couldn't make it up.

He knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s called Gaslighting. Lying wanker
Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.

Enoch Powell was one of the most remarkable Englishmen of the twentieth century. A patriot, a scholar and a soldier, he served his country in uniform during the Second World War, rising from private soldier to brigadier. Long before politics became his main calling, he had already distinguished himself through military service and an extraordinary intellect. Powell was a classical scholar who could read and speak numerous languages, including Greek, Latin, Welsh, German, French, Italian and others. He became a professor of Greek at just 25 years old, one of the youngest in the country. He loved England, its people, its history and its traditions. Many of the concerns he raised about national identity, sovereignty, immigration and social cohesion decades ago remain central political issues today. Powell's life was a reminder that public service once meant something more than chasing popularity. He combined intellectual brilliance, military service and a deep sense of duty to his nation. Enoch Powell was no ordinary politician. He was a man of conviction, and history has ensured that he will not be forgotten and the present has proven that he was right. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

One to watch. Although in 2023 plans to house migrants were abolished, contractors are now here and locals have heard rumours.

The Ideology Doesn't Stop at the Border. It Never Did. In Herat this week, Taliban security forces opened fire on protesters demonstrating against mandatory hijab orders. A fourteen-year-old boy, who had come to bring his brother home, was killed. Dozens were arrested. Door-to-door raids are now underway across the city, Taliban fighters stopping residents at checkpoints and searching their phones for images of women whose faces appeared in protest footage. Women have stopped leaving their homes. The injured are being treated in secret because those taken to hospital are arrested. This is the country from which tens of thousands of young men have crossed the Channel to reach Britain. This is the law they grew up under. This is the culture that formed them. In February, the Taliban published a sixty-page penal code signed by the supreme leader and distributed to courts across Afghanistan. It permits men to beat their wives provided the violence does not cause broken bones or open wounds. The maximum sentence for serious injury is fifteen days. To pursue a complaint, a woman must present her wounds in person to a male judge, fully veiled, accompanied by a male guardian. In the majority of domestic violence cases that guardian is the husband who committed the beating. A woman who flees to her parents without permission faces three months in prison. The family members who shelter her face the same. Justice is not merely difficult. It is structurally impossible by design. This is not a distant aberration. This is the enacted law of a country whose nationals have entered Britain in their thousands. Five of the seven men charged with forty grooming offences in Norwich arrived from Afghanistan by small boat. Two hundred and ninety-four Afghan nationals entered Britain on Ukrainian visas. Tens of thousands more have crossed the Channel since 2018, the overwhelming majority unvetted young men whose formation occurred under a legal and cultural framework that treats women as property, criminalises their autonomy and punishes any attempt at escape. The ideology does not stop at the border. It never has. Cultural attitudes are not checked at Dover alongside passports. The men who leave Afghanistan carry with them the values of a society where women cannot speak loudly inside their own homes, cannot leave without permission, cannot seek protection from the men who harm them, and can now be legally beaten provided the bones remain intact. Those values do not dissolve on contact with British soil. They are dispersed into British communities, British streets, British schools, with the full knowledge and active facilitation of a government that has read the same reports, been briefed by the same security services, and chosen to continue regardless. Sharia law as practised under the Taliban would endorse every element of what is happening in Herat. The mandatory covering. The punishment for non-compliance. The subordination of women to male authority in every domain of life. Britain already has Sharia councils operating alongside civil law. Already has communities where women's movement is restricted by cultural expectation. Already has areas where the state modifies its own behaviour for fear of communal reaction. The distance between Herat and certain British postcodes is shorter than the political class will admit. The government's response to all of this is to announce faster removal of social media posts about it. The terror watchdog raises the connection between mass migration and national security and receives silence. The boats continue. The dispersals continue. Somewhere in Britain tonight a woman is living under the same attitudes that are hunting women through the streets of Herat. The posts describing it will be removed more quickly next time. The government calls concern about the connection far right. They are legalising fear in Afghanistan. Britain is importing it. That is the story nobody in power will name.

Agenda 2030 Or The Defence Of The Realm. Starmer Has Made His Choice. John Healey Has Resigned Over It. This morning Britain woke up without a Defence Secretary. By lunchtime it knew why. The numbers tell the story precisely. The Ministry of Defence faces a £28 billion funding shortfall over four years. Healey wanted £18 billion. He was offered £13.5 billion of which defence chiefs regarded only £10 billion as real money. The remaining £3.5 billion was, in the words of the Telegraph, invented through magical accounting tricks. The Chief of the Defence Staff, Sir Richard Knighton, took the unusual step of writing directly to Starmer to warn that the money was not enough. The head of the British armed forces writing directly to the Prime Minister is not a routine communication. It is a signal of desperation. Starmer told NATO last week that it is our intelligence assessment that there could be an attack by Russia on NATO as soon as 2030. Those are his words. His government's assessment. Shared with our allies. Four years away. And his Treasury offered the man responsible for defending against that threat an accounting trick and a two page summary instead of a funded plan. Why. Because the money was needed elsewhere. In 2015 every United Nations member state including Britain signed the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its 17 goals and 169 targets commit signatory nations to facilitating migration, eliminating inequality, achieving net zero and embedding inclusive institutions. No British parliament voted on it. No British public was consulted. It was adopted at a UN summit and has been implemented ever since through regulatory frameworks, public sector guidance and institutional capture rather than democratic mandate. It is not a conspiracy. It is a publicly available document on the UN website. And its priorities, net zero, welfare, migration, DEI, are precisely the budgets this government has protected while offering the defence of the realm an accounting trick. Ed Miliband refused to cut his net zero budget to fund defence. The Labour Party refused to cut welfare spending that would have freed up billions. The £10 billion in asylum accommodation contracts continues. The DEI infrastructure embedded across British policing, the NHS, the civil service and the education system continues to be funded. Every one of these is a commitment that takes precedence over the defence of the realm in this government's spending decisions. The hierarchy of priorities is now visible. A government that has spent two years embedding progressive transformation across British institutions, protecting the net zero agenda from cuts and managing mass migration has discovered that it cannot simultaneously do all of that and defend the country. When the moment of decision arrived the progressive agenda was protected and the armed forces were handed a two page summary and told to make do. Lord Robertson, the former Labour Defence Secretary and NATO Secretary General, warned in April that Britain was underprepared, underinsured and under attack. He said there was a corrosive complacency in Britain's political leadership. The army has been reduced to its smallest size in 200 years. Seven warships have been axed. The Defence Investment Plan was due last autumn, delayed through winter, missed its spring deadline and has now produced the resignation of the Defence Secretary on the day it was finally meant to be published. Healey's letter says without a plan that meets the moment he is being forced to make decisions that would reduce the readiness of our forces, increase the risk to personnel on operations and could make the country less safe. He had no other option but to resign. In the most dangerous security environment since the Cold War a Labour government has chosen the globalist agenda over the defence of the realm. That choice has now cost it its Defence Secretary. The question is what it will cost the country.

English is the only language where you drive on parkways and park in driveways. It’s also the only language where you recite in a play and play in a recital. Your fingers have fingertips, but your toes don’t have toetips. Yet you can tiptoe, but not tipfinger. The word queue is just a “Q” followed by four silent letters. “Jail” and “prison” are synonyms, but “jailer” and “prisoner” are antonyms. When you transport something by car, it’s called a shipment. When you transport something by ship, it’s called cargo. English is fun.
