Well the news I can finally share so hard to keep quiet when your hearts so happy 💜💜 Today my heart is bursting with pride as my beautiful grandson, Noah, will recieve his Pride of Scotland Award on Monday night ,Noah has faced more challenges in his young life than most people will ever experience, enduring 13 major operations and fighting every step of the way with incredible courage and determination. Despite everything he has been through, Noah never gives up. He faces each day with a smile that lights up every room and a strength that inspires everyone who meets him. He is not only my grandson but everyone’s little hero. No words can truly express how proud I am of him. I love Noah more than all the stars in the sky, and watching him overcome obstacle after obstacle has been both humbling and inspiring. This award is a reflection of the brave, remarkable little boy he is and the joy he brings to so many lives. Noah, you are our hero, our inspiration, and our greatest blessing. 🌺🇬🇧 Saddened to hear of the passing of Gilbert Clarke — Second World War veteran, RAF Leading Aircraftman and proud member of the Windrush generation — at the age of 100. Born in Jamaica, Gilbert volunteered to serve in the Royal Air Force during the war, travelling across the Atlantic in 1944 to support the Allied effort at a pivotal moment in history. Working on radar and radio systems, he played an important role in supporting military aircraft operations during the liberation of Europe. Throughout his later years, Gilbert remained committed to remembrance, helping ensure the contribution of Caribbean servicemen and women during wartime would never be overlooked or forgotten. His story is a powerful reminder that the defence of Britain was built on service, sacrifice and unity across nations and communities. Rest in peace, Gilbert.
