Canadian Swede. Professor @Stockholm_Uni, Director Exposomics @SciLifeLab. Toxicologist, curious about exposome, inspired by nontarget MS. @academictox.bsky.soc
Whale exposomes measured in skin biopsies of free ranging fin whales. Hundreds of exposures detected, but it was concerning to discover so many pharmaceuticals in these animals. Many exposures correlated with gene expression, suggesting effects. @AcesSthlmUni@scilifelab
Honored to have my PhD supervisor @AcademicTox at our lab! Our Integrated Toxicology Analyzer enables automated sample prep, fractionation, LC-HRMS analysis, and 20 toxicity assays. Welcome researchers for collaboration in #Toxicology, #Exposome, and #EffectDirectedAnalysis!
Recently in Beijing visiting Yanna Liu, Guibin Jiang and colleagues at the State Key Lab of Environmental Chem & Ecotox. Impressive innovation in infrastructure for the exposome and effects directed analysis, very inspiring to see this patented ITA tech in action! @YannaLiu_BJ
Calling recent PHD grads and those close to defending...
We are hiring a Post-doc with an "open research focus". Write your own 2-year project proposal and submit it before November 3!

Thank you for visiting! It was a pleasure to showcase our ITA system and discuss how it enables comprehensive chemical and health studies. We welcome all researchers interested in exploring collaborations and look forward to more exciting science and collaborations ahead!
How will your choice of #HRMS acquisition strategy affect molecular coverage, structural annotation and MS2-based toxicity predictions with #MS2Tox in your #Nontarget analysis? Check out our recent publication in @EnvSciTech 🥳

ITA='Integrated Toxicology Analyzer', including automated and interconnected extraction and sample prep, LC-HRMS identification, fractionation and multiwell toxicity testing. I look forward to seeing all the science that is now underway.
Thanks to @MayBrittRian for allowing me to talk about her unique PhD project at #Setac in Tianjin. Her data demonstrate how regional water monitoring by NTA can proactively detect PMTs before they become global threats. Big congrats also to May Britt for a best poster award!
Using Orbitraps to go beyond metabolomics into exposomics (trace analysis of environmental molecules) it can be very important to minimize the matrix of major metabolites. Here, @HongyuXie9 developed nice magic mix that works nice for high ensitivity target & untargeted analysis.
Our longitudinal #exposomics study is now available in @EnvSciTech. We show valuable cohort-scale data on the longitudinal stability of #exposome in blood, discuss unique coexposures and define longitudinal exposure types, useful for study design. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…
A useful @Nature editorial, on the need for scientists to dedicate time to reflection and thinking. In practice, it's always easier (less demanding) to reply to emails or complete an admin task, rather than to wrestle mentally with scientific problems. nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
