Finally there was a break in the rain and we were able to deliver our first harvest to @Acadia_Dining at Wheelock Hall. Chef Peter received 8 lbs. of organic garlic scapes today delivered by Farmer Sophie using our awesome bike trailer!

Many thanks to Alicja Muir, MSc. candidate at Acadia, for an interesting workshop on beekeeping. October 16th is #WorldFoodDay! Let’s honour the work of the humble bumble, the honeybee, and other bees as well as our hardworking researchers, commercial & backyard beekeepers!
Due to the forecasted rain today the beekeeping workshop is postponed to Friday October 7th from 12:30pm-1:30pm. No need to re-register. See you Friday.

Join us for a Garden Biodiversity Workshop on July 27 6:30pm at the Acadia Farm with Samuel Jean, Conservation & Education Technician at the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens. Learn about biodiversity, native and edible plants, and how to identify and remove invasive species.

And so the student becomes the teacher! Last month our past Student Farm Coordinator, Sarah Boudreau, who graduated from @AUSchoolofEd in 2020 and is now a teacher, led the annual Gardening 101 workshop for new student and community gardeners. Lovely to have you back, Sarah!
