A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for the Acadia region starting 6 :00 p.m. today. We are expecting dangerously low wind chills, with temperatures feeling as low as 30 below. They also issued a hazardous weather outlook, forecasting heavy snow starting Saturday afternoon.
From January 22–30, 2026, Acadia National Park will conduct pile burning operations to safely dispose of woody debris from maintenance and fuels reduction projects. This method is a cost-effective way to manage vegetation and reduce wildfire risk.

On December 1, the Park Loop Road (including Cadillac Mountain) is closed to vehicles, with the exception of Jordan Pond Road in Seal Harbor offering access to Jordan Pond, and between Schooner Head Road and Otter Cliff Road in Bar Harbor. Learn more at go.nps.gov/AcadiaWinter
Starting November 17, Acadia National Park will close a section of Park Loop Road to all uses to accommodate critical culvert replacements between Cadillac Summit Road and the start of the one-way section of the Park Loop Road.

Acadia's first Cultural Connections Program of the season will take place at Cadillac Mountain Summit on June 4 from 11:00am to 1:00pm! A park pass, vehicle reservations are needed to access the Cadillac Summit Road. You can make a vehicle reservation at recreation.gov

Starting today, visitors need a vehicle reservation in addition to their park pass to drive Cadillac Summit Road. Reservations can be purchased online at recreation.gov. Vehicle reservations are required to drive to the summit May 21-October 26. See you at the summit!
