These protest placards, as stupid as they are, would all be completely legal if the phrase "I support Pal***ine Ac**on" was not added to breach the terrorism act and get the dribbling old fools holding them a trip to the cells. It is PA that is proscribed, not protest. Scum.

Another NHS leftist imbecile. The organisation is infested. The NHS needs the same public sector requirement to avoid political activity as the police. Everyone must be able to trust their clinicians.
No words needed 💔

Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.

Reasonable for the criminal damage but the GBH arsehole with the sledgehammer should have got more. The protesters outside, absolute scum. BBC News - Palestine Action activists jailed over Bristol Elbit factory raid - BBC News bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce95…

On the monumental clusterf#ck that is the British judicial system: Let's have hundreds of extreme-left terrorist-sympathising protesters kicking off outside court for 4 hours with 72 arrests, because nobody prioritised the sentencing of 4 scumbags. Idiots, or provoking trouble?

Yesterday we heard reports Ed Miliband wouldn’t budge on cutting his Nut Zero budget to fund defence. This isn’t the first time. Starmer also tried to reshuffle him last year and he refused. The fact Starmer couldn’t force his hand is deeply worrying, it shows Starmer is afraid of Miliband, who is seemingly holding the country and particularly this government, at ransom because he has so much power within the Labour Party. The PM being willing to lose a Defence Sec over his Energy Sec is really unprecedented.

A friend just messaged me - ‘Just read Al Cs letter. I think better of him now. I also understand the motivation to ‘fix from the inside, in a command appointment’….until it gets too much. But how much of this is conviction and how much of this is strategic, hard to say. Gifted and respected warrior, but he’s got into bed with a very bad lot. Hermer, Starmer, Milliband, Phillipson, Lammy and the rest. A doctrine designed to destroy the fabric of the nation. This isn’t old fashioned patriotic Labour, which in the postwar era was a ‘thing’. This is dark international Marxist Leninist social engineering, plain to see.’
Absolutely scathing about Keir Starmer from Al Carns, who has just resigned. Massively digs out Starmer for prosecuting British war heroes. Good stuff.

A defence secretary has never resigned in this way. Fox, Heseltine, Profumo - all resigned over scandals. To resign because the PM would not pay enough to keep the country secure - unprecedented.

This is an outrageous, disgraceful smear on John Healey — and an outright lie. There are a ton of ways to finance more for defence — starting with net zero — without taking a penny from schools or hospitals. Reeves should be ashamed of herself for allowing this nonsense. Suggests she’s really desperate.

Looks like Al Carns didn't have somewhere less griefy to be this time. @Keir_Starmer leading means difficult decisions. Your back-bench student union activists aren't in charge. Your first duty is defence of the realm. Pull your finger out and get a grip, you spineless buffoon.

The first duty of government is defence of the Realm. @JohnHealey_MP’s principled resignation states clearly this administration has failed. I’ve criticised every party for the state we’re in but the truth is now clear: the complacent confidence in peace is over. We must rearm.

And now we know why. Labour... leaving the entire UK weak and vulnerable so they can throw benefits at individuals who might vote for them.
Sir Lindsay Hoyle is livid about rumours the government will publish the Defence Investment Plan on Friday, when MPs are not sitting. Says he would be "appalled" to see the plan announced without a statement to the Commons first and makes a direct appeal to No10: "That would be an utter disgrace and an utter kick in the face to members of this House. .... "Once again, it seems to me that we are becoming second-class citizens with the Government. I don't want that to be the case, and I hope I am proven wrong."

I give full credit to John Healey for resigning. It has sadly become rare to see any politician standing up for what is right. Respect. BBC News - bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgqeg09p… Defence Secretary John Healey resigns over military spending plans - BBC News

I worry it's going to be a long hot summer in the inner cities. Weak government, some egregious offending, perceived weak policing constrained by government interference, pent-up tension from years of leftist protests. Hope I'm wrong, I don't want to see any more violence.
