Acid For Squares Podcast guest Patrick McCollum, an international peacekeeper acknowledged as a saint in India, joins us to discuss his new documentary, The Man Who Saves The World?, a film by Gabe Polsky that tells the story of the ancient prophecy that changed Patrick’s life.
After being given the honor of blessing the Ganges River during a historic ceremony with 100 million people present, Patrick was approached by Indigenous elders from the Amazon rainforest. They told him that during an ayahuasca ceremony, they were instructed to travel to India on that exact day, where they would meet Roxa, the spirit of the condor, the one destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy, unite the tribes of the Amazon, and help save the planet… and they believed Patrick was Roxa.
Patrick refused the call, explaining that even if he wanted to go, he couldn’t. His back was broken, and he could barely walk. Then the elders performed a mystical ritual on him, healing him and setting him on a journey into the Amazon that would change everything. The rest of the story is stranger than fiction, and one that truly must be seen to be believed.
Have you ever experienced a ritual, ceremonial, spiritual, or mystical healing that defied conventional medicine?
