Just saw a Brazilian team analyst sprinting through the press room with a laptop to get down to the dressing room ahead of half time. He looked as frazzled as Brazil’s midfield for most of that first half. For more such insights: nytimes.com/athletic/live-bl…

I very much hope for Man Utd's sake that Ederson (on the bench) is better than this version of Casemiro, who has... toiled...

The New York school buses are in Manhattan to take fans to the MetLife stadium. Brazil vs Morocco in the World Cup is a slightly more appealing proposition than a day in the classroom... 📼 @AdamCrafton_ Brazil vs. Morocco — World Cup live blog: bit.ly/3QkfSAw

🚌 This has been a pretty fun authentic experience. Traffic gotten pretty heavy on the final few miles to MetLife but that’s pretty authentic too

Brazil fans have just been waiting all this time to be taught how to celebrate. I mean, honestly! 😅
World Cup tourists in NYC really have no idea what they’re about to witness if the Knicks win tonight…..

England have recovered several items of stolen training kit after they were taken from a team vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri. The theft occurred when the FA’s logistical team was setting up their new base at the Swope Soccer Village, in Kansas City, during the tournament – with the items taken from a van which was still to be unloaded. Brazil v Morocco is sold-out, according to numbers shared with me this morning. Big test for transport. Important note for fans: the $20 shuttle bus service is capped in availability so don’t just turn up at those pick up points without a ticket in advance.

I just met Frank and Francisco from Chicago who are head-to-toe covered in stars and stripes. They told me they’re going to 14 World Cup matches and paid over $34,000 for tickets. Said they’ll “absolutely” wear these outfits to all 14.

Some stadium staff at USA-Paraguay game wearing these ‘Kick Ice Out’ badges, as first reported by @AdamCrafton_ Asked one server working in hospitality if they’d had any backlash from guests. ‘No, not really. It’s been good, they said.
