There are far bigger problems in our world than “who gets to broadcast hockey games in Canada.” But this still saddens me. 😕
CBC will no longer show NHL games as sublicense with rights-holder Rogers Sportsnet ends cbc.ca/9.7236977

I will be unavailable for the next couple of hours. I’m sure you all understand. 😄 #madmagazine

From my latest daily Bible study: Praise the Lord, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the Earth. (Isaiah 11: 4-5)

Already earning praise from Debbie Gibson and Heart’s Nancy Wilson, my longtime friend @Caddy1111’s amazing daughter Sierra Lévesque picked up even MORE cool points last night as she opened for the legendary @LisaLoeb in Los Angeles! So freakin’ cool! Keep on rockin’, Sierra!!!

Nothing left but debris this evening at the Skye Lodge site on the Port Hastings Rotary. Demolition crews took the motel down today after weeks of preparatory work. The motel is in the path of a planned roundabout. I’ll have more details on Tuesday’s edition of @InfoMorningCB.

I sang this song today at West Bay United Church, at the funeral at a child that died nine weeks before her delivery date. Her polyamorous family specifically asked for this song. I struggled with the arrangement but I think God led me to the right tempo. youtu.be/aDX68dfX6xE?si=kOpq…

One of my favourite players to ever wear the CH. I know he’s getting older and his body has a lot of wear and tear, but I will miss Gally. (I also agree that he deserved more playoff time, especially after scoring on his first shift in the Tampa series)

The expanded version of this statement suggests that the modern-day Canadiens “have taken the torch from Edmonton” and are now the NHL team that will set the standard for the other six Canadian franchises. Accurate? Overreaching? Complete bull-plucky? What do you think?

Today is the last day of Gaelic Awareness Month, so here’s a little musical madness, direct from The Gaelic College!

This would have been a worthwhile post at any point of this year. But the pending arrival of Pride Month makes it even more relevant.

Even cooler: All three of these Canadiens comebacks happened in the past 22 years (against the Bruins in 2004, the Capitals in 2010, and the Leafs just five years ago). And you wonder why I still believe. 🙂 #GoHabsGo

This doesn’t even seem possible. Especially since he carried the torch into the Bell Centre three nights ago, prior to Game 3 between the Habs and the Hurricanes. Maybe the present-day Habs will carry some of his grit into Game 5. He was only 60. Unreal. Merci, Claude. 😢

Pro tip to my musician friends: Always be sure you’re familiar with the venue. #GaelicAwarenessMonth #GarlicAppreciationMonth

Jakub Dobes deserved better than that for his 25th birthday. 🫤 Ah well. I’ve seen my team come back from 3-1 deficits three times in my life. Let’s see there’s a fourth, starting on Friday. #GoHabsGo #NHL #MTLvsCAR #StanleyCupPlayoffs

I don’t know what you’re doing tonight, but Cathy and I are watching our favourite hockey team in the third round of the playoffs. Win or lose, it’s delightful for us to have this privilege so late in May. 🙂
