I guess if I want to keep followers I have to make some terse and vapid comment on Claude Fable? Unlike a real fable, I haven’t learned anything new from it yet. It balks at lots of questions, though. I don’t think I ordered fear as a service….

My content is a mess. My work is a mess. I’m just in general a mess. I feel more productive and aimed in a better direction, but the evidence doesn’t match. I think I went in too hard on building agents and AI workflows, not hard enough on having a unified vision appropriately documented. I think lots of us are in this boat, and may not be publicly willing to admit it.

I am so mad at myself for missing the Short Circuit 40th anniversary weekend in Astoria, Oregon. As cliché in 80s is that movie is, it was probably the most important film to lead me to where I am now. I will not miss 50th.

There was a project last year on Crowd Supply that was a RPi powered printer, but uses HP cartridges. I’d love to see a fully open project that cuts them out completely.

When I have to fly somewhere, I take three pictures of the car when it’s parked in the deck. One is from far away that gives me context, one is the overhead placard of what floor section, and the third is the picture of which elevator I took. Memory bad, data good.

I have an opinion about clothing: I will only buy brands my parents have never heard of. The market premium for brand loyalty in the clothing industry is ridiculously high. At a certain point, bespoke clothes are actually cheaper than luxury brands made from the same fabric.

San Diego is too loud. I never really thought about it before, coming down here form dragon boat races or work travel… but trying to do the vanilla tourist things, I’m starting to realize it is never quiet because of air traffic, and it’s a different kind of noisy than NYC.
