Evalien is a summer student joining the Metcalf lab for two months to study hypoxia and apnea following seizures, and investigating if there is any connection to Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Evalien already worked in the lab two summer ago as an High School student, and studied the relation between lactic acid and SUDEP. Evalien just finished her first year as a Neuroscience student at the University of Rochester.
