Just to clear up some stuff, it IS a recomp in the technical sense, but not what people would expect from one. GPU and audio is based on Xenia, CPU is recompiled to x64 and linked to Xenia GPU & audio emulation. The included .exe file is basically the base .xex in C code. This is "emulating" PowerPC but ahead of time instead of runtime. This is just using the base .xex file with no modifications so there's no special fixes. Without a decompilation you also can't do much with just recompiled code, as you have to first understand what everything is doing. TL;DR: This can develop into something much deeper but at the current state, it's just a glorified Xenia wrapper. We'll have to wait and see how it develops or if it's supported.

I was too eager to report on this before doing proper research, but TL;DR, this doesn't really mean anything new compared to Xenia Emulator. The only recomp going on here is in the core, not the native game code. More info posted in the quoted thread.
A surprise recompilation of GoldenEye XBLA dropped just a few hours ago! You can play the Community Edition on it for all the fixes over the years. Online support, high framerates, filters, and possibly more to come.

The range of the standard Unarmed/Slapper attack is 50 centimeters. If you have a Sniper Rifle, your bare hands are replaced with the rifle butt. This is not just a visual change, the butt's range is twice as long!
