Trying to regain work routine, but struggling. My mother has formed a habit of walking into my house / office with no warning. I have terrible concentration, and just as I pulled together some thoughts today she said "HELLO!!"
Didn't hear her coming. Brain has imploded😵💫

(1/2) Been MIA. This was advanced bowel cancer & had spread to his liver, lymph nodes, and lower stomach. Chemo resistant, and resectability marginal. 😱
Miraculously, he's been cancer free since last August. He had an unusually strong response to Immunotherapy then surgery.

Husband is home again after 5 days in hospital.
He's now banned from speaking to anyone responsible for triage in future. Downplaying an intestinal bleed to NHS 111 did not end well for him (or me!!).
He's in trouble when he feels better. 🫥

(2/2) My husband is 44. There's no such thing as being too young for bowel cancer. He had very subtle symptoms right up until the primary tumour had almost completely blocked his bowel.
Please get checked if things aren't right with your poo!

No hot take on this, but just maternal pride that my 12 year old daughter spotted this screenshot over my shoulder and said "Ooooft!!"
All the time spent sitting on Mum's office sofa while I work, and chatting about the interwebs is paying off 😂

Starting to see some signs of life for some sites impacted by September's helpful content update.
This site was impacted by both the September HCU And the October core update.
The site owner worked with a developer to implement a solution to noindex pages that lacked helpful information.
He's given me permission to share more, so once the update is done, we'll take a good look at what's going on with this site.

Here’s todays work in progress.
We bought her a digital drawing pad last summer. £30 well spent!

Just used chatgpt to run an email I had to send to school about my daughter being bullied. I asked it to review it to ensure my tone was calm and measured.
It said "look Kirsty, go and have a lie down and try again love. You can't say that!"

Sigh. Got an image copyright infringement from Copytrack. I don't know how they found it. It was on my site as part of an Asda affiliate campaign in 2011. The post relating to it does not exist in my WP database, although the image is still sitting in back end. Not responding.

The image copyright must sit with ASDA themselves. Not the company they claim, it was for own brand men's shapewear! They can take me to court if they like. Even the post they referenced was a 404 when I tried to look (and not even a URL structure I'd ever have used).

Today, like yesterday, my diet consists of toast for breakfast, followed by several carefully curated courses of chocolate and biscuits.
