DISCLOSURE DAY is a classic blockbuster and a major cinematic achievement by Steven Spielberg. The film starts with Daniel (Josh O’Connor) getting robbed of a device that we initially don’t quite understand what it is. Later, we’ll find out how it connects Daniel and Margaret (Emily Blunt) — no spoilers here but they’re connected in a very beautiful way. The depiction of aliens here, through animals, is beautiful and poetic. I was surprised Universal marketing revealed that in the trailers, because during the film it seems Spielberg wanted it to be a surprise. It’s a mix of sci-fi and action that no one handles better than Spielberg in cinema. Full review early next week.
