Today, #TeamASI attended the launch of @AgeSector's Telling It Like It Is series – Experiences of Older People at End of Life, hosted by Senator @Fiona_Kildare at Leinster House.
The report draws on the @careexperience National End of Life Survey, Ireland’s first nationwide survey of bereaved relatives and friends about care in the last months and days of life.

While the news isn’t all bad, the updated Age Alliance review demonstrates ‘slow progress’ at best as 12 of 14 key policy commitments relevant to an ageing population are either awarded a ‘reduced’ or ‘holding’ grade when compared with February 2024.

Many factors impact on our ability to age well. All too many older people experience challenges relating to income, housing, health, transport, work, energy, education and digital communications. We need an Independent Commissioner for Ageing and Older People. @AgeSector
