First photo I trained 3 times per week ( age 59)
Second photo I trained 5-6 times per week (age 62)
As always, moderate weights ( save the joints)
If you are in search of muscle size, I highly recommend increasing your training volume

The “stack” I perform to keep in this shape at the age of 63:
Gym- 5-6 days per week working each body part twice/week.
Run - 5 days per week ( Sunday long run).
Diet- consistency calorie deficit Mon-Fri.
No Peds required.
This is the strategy that has stopped my aging clock.
An example of what fitness looked like for women back in the 80’s. Nicole became a very good friend of mine, and we still stay in contact.
For those that missed the 80’s…they were great!
Today I turned 63.
Looking back, there are a number of things I would have done differently. Working out is not one of them.
As the great Spock once said…Live Long and Prosper.

Here is a sample of how I eat. I typically include a whey shake and a daily multi vitamin.
I also do not take any meds or performance/replacement drugs ( I do not require).
Simple digestion plays an important role in my choices.
Super fuels.
For me, it’s not all about the gym. I need the cardio benefit from running to achieve the VO2 to run at engine
It has brought my fitness level to the higher at it has ever been
At 63- 4 days
That shot of my fridge is the fuel that drives me

Gym/Run/Diet/Fun.
My approach to fitness and health goals provide me the blue print to fully enjoy life without any limitations.
I am in, perhaps the best shape of my life…as I approach 63.

I have 40 years between the photos.
To this day, no aches or pains…or trips for physiotherapy or a chiropractor.
I contribute this to using moderate weights with a higher volume of sets.
Remember, you have this body for the rest of your life!

Today’s I had the good fortune to get together with a group of guys I have known since 1982. I was especially happy to see the original owner of the gym from then (sitting beside me).I have also included a photo of him with the 1982 Mr Olympia Chris Dickerson.
Time flies.
A bit of spring cleaning today, and thought i would bring these out of storage.
A bit of wear and tear on them …just like me.
I was 148 lbs for the contest ( lightest guy in the show). I won my weight class and the overall.

Working out is only one part of the equation of my plan to achieve optimal health.
A change to a ( primarily) plant based diet has had a major impact on my energy levels and overall health.
I want to stick around as long as possible to watch this kid.
