Total fail from @JLCPCB when ordering a part with RP2350. No way to NOT design a board with these components. The hardware design guide from @Raspberry_Pi recommends them, but it should not be a requirement! Please give me an "I understand the risk" checkbox to submit my design😠

New product drop! 🥳Retool is now available for purchase in the web shop. This USB based remote head for 3D printers adds all you need to get rid of those 19-ish wires to the extruder. Works great with Recore and Voron 2.4, but it's flexible...

First Retool going out to a customer/friend/developer! I did a quick test print yesterday and all looks good. The temperature fluxtuations from rev A1 are gone. Not tried the Peltier driver yet 😬

I have a strange phenomenon happening with the temperature on an RP2040. There seems to be a disturbance every 4-ish minutes. It is more pronounced with lower temperatures. Any takers on what is going on here? The software is Klipper.

I made my first PCB with RP2350 today. Very detailed and nice instructions on how to do the hardware, but perhaps a bit lacking on how to not use the built in step down converter? The chips are not available for sale yet, but the Pico 2 dev boards are cheap enough to cannibalize.

Magic mode for file upload for Reflash🤯 You upload a compressed file and it gets decompressed and written to the eMMC directly without the intermediary of the USB. Saves some minutes. The "magic" is really just using a named pipe: xz -d < /tmp/mypipe > /dev/mmcblk2

If you have two computers with the same hostame on the network, avahi and systemd-resolved will fix this by adding a suffix and publish via mDNS. The resulting name can be found by 'getent hosts <link local address>'

Woooow! This has got to be my hardest bug to track down yet. The manufacturer has replaced my 100 K resistors with 100 K NTC resistors 😮 I could not for the life of me figure out how the voltage kept rising as a result of my sweating 😅
