Attention to the local AI creators’ community! This week, due to a moderator’s intervention at @midjourney, I lost about 90% of all my creations. That’s tens of thousands of images and hundreds of hours of work. Entire weeks and months of my work have been deleted without any selection process. The reason? Alleged violation of the Community Guidelines. Some of my images might be a bit revealing, as you can see on my profile, but nothing 18 . Everything I generated passed both the input and output filters of @midjourney, which are apparently poorly configured. Their job then ends up being replaced by manual moderation, and in this case, the moderator brutally wiped out months of my work. I understand that with the number of images I generate, it's hard to go through everything manually, but that's the moderator’s job, which users are paying for, and a professional approach is expected. I lost illustrations of a nuclear power plant for an educational Instagram account, mandala designs, images for a pseudo-documentary about rabbit history... and don’t even get me started on the women in costumes. All of it was deleted with no real filtering... who cares, right? I've filed a complaint and am waiting for the outcome. I’ll keep you posted. Recommendation: If you often generate images like “Beautiful young women” or similar content like I do, I strongly suggest you back up all the images you don’t want to lose to your own drive, and save your refined prompts in a text file. You never know when a moderator might show up, and how they'll interpret even you pictures. I used to be very active on @midjourney, dedicating a lot of time to creating and rating images to help improve things. For now, I’ll take a little break and see what comes out of the complaint.
