254 years ago, a group of brave Rhode Islanders kickstarted the events that would lead to the American Revolution and struck the first blow for freedom with the burning of the HMS Gaspee. 🔥⛵️ It was great to celebrate the revolutionary history of our state and say hello to so many folks at @gaspeedays today! #TeamKim

Thanks for the fun comparison, @danmcgowan! My soccer career started and ended pretty early, but I agree; our campaign will deliver a bright future for Rhode Islanders!
Today in #RhodeMap: I had way too much fun scouting World Cup teams and tying them to Rhode Island power players. view.email.bostonglobe.com/?…

I’m honored to have the endorsement of @emilyslist, and I look forward to making history as the first Democratic woman to serve as Rhode Island’s Attorney General. Our campaign is about protecting Rhode Islanders’ safety and defending our fundamental rights, including the right to control our own bodies. As the only pro-choice woman in this race, I’m ready to stand up and fight on behalf of all Rhode Islanders.

When I spoke in Cranston last week, I shared about a case that took place there that I prosecuted when I worked at the AG’s office. The individual I prosecuted was named James Adams. He committed numerous crimes over a multi-week span that culminated in the murder of a young woman named Mary Grier.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         It is crucial that our next Attorney General has this kind of experience in the courtroom on the AG’s behalf, prosecuting significant, felony cases for our state and keeping us safe. This photo of me in court with Mary’s mother at his sentencing is a sobering reminder of the deep importance of the work the Attorney General’s office does. He was sentenced to serve life plus 100 years, ensuring he will never harm another woman in our state again. I will always remember Mary and may she rest in peace. Photo credit: @projo

I had a great time in Cranston last week - first we visited the historic Park Theater, and then stopped by Coffee Bean Express ☕️. I had a wonderful conversation with the Cranston Dems at Elliotte on park, and am grateful for their willingness to share what matters to them in this race! #TeamKim

I want to wish a very happy Pride to everyone across our beautiful state. I’m so proud to be a part of Rhode Island’s vibrant, diverse, and welcoming LGBTQ community. As your next Attorney General, I will always fight for your right to live your life authentically. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ #TeamKim

In celebration of today's @specialolympicsri Summer Games Opening Ceremony, I was honored to participate in the 42nd Annual Rhode Island Law Enforcement Torch Run yesterday. Congratulations to all of the athletes! 🎳🏋️ 🏊‍♀️ ⚽️🏃‍♂️ The Law Enforcement Torch Run is part of an international campaign for Special Olympics, coordinated and managed by law enforcement officers and officials. RI is unique because it’s the only Torch Run in the world that has Justice (our AG’s office) as one of the core members. ⚖️ I would always run in this as a prosecutor at the office and hopefully I’ll be back to do it again next year as your next Attorney General! I’m so grateful for this organization and all the good it does. #TeamKim

I am thankful for former Attorney General Jeff Pine's support in this race. In many ways, my background is similar to Attorney General Pine’s when he first sought this office, having spent nearly a decade bringing Rhode Island’s most violent criminals to justice. He knows what it takes to fight corruption, address domestic violence, safeguard our students, protect our seniors, and make our state safer and stronger, and I’m honored to have him with me in this fight. #TeamKim

I've been a fan of #edieajello since I lived in Providence. She was always there to support the people she represented. Just as @AhernForAG will be there to support Rhode Islanders! #TeamKim #AhernForAG
Over the past three decades, Rhode Island has become a stronger and more inclusive place, and Representative Ajello has been a driving force behind so much of that progress. I am honored to have Representative Ajello's support in this campaign, and I look forward to working together to stand up to the Trump administration and continue moving our state forward. #TeamKim

I loved gathering with the @lcdems this past Saturday for their Johnnycake breakfast. 🥞 The food was delicious and the conversation was great. It was also nice to stop by @theartcafe on my way out. I can’t wait to return to Little Compton! 🌊

Today, we remember Officer Ryan Bourque, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver on his way home from his shift 10 years ago. Officer Bourque's story is a reminder to drive sober and save lives. Thank you MADD RI (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) for honoring victims and survivors, and for your work to put an end to impaired driving.

I sure wish I could call Mom, again. Check out the advice I’d give to my younger self 👇
From Rhode Map: With Blazejewski ascending to speaker of the state’s House of Representatives this month, @DanMcGowan asked a group of Rhode Island’s Future loyalists what kind of advice on local politics they’d give themselves if they could back 20 years. trib.al/7fDqvHX
