Decided to put this into a video format. Please don't sue me
@HealthyGamerGG but maybe getting sued was inevitable? ๐
Wish you just had that little bit of confidence to do something you wanted to do but were afraid of taking that little leap?
Anxiety is amazing at stopping us from doing things in life we want to do.
Hereโs the thought process I myself use to take the leap:
Personally, I donโt believe in free will.
We definitely experience the feeling of free will on the human level, but the truth is we donโt actually know if it exists or not. To me, it genuinely seems like it could go either way.
Whatโs happening when we make decisions?
Neurons firing around in the brain, are we controlling them or are they controlling us?
Are our decisions actually ours or were they predetermined in some capacity?
Is the entire universe just predetermined?
And even if objective randomness exists such that the universe isn't predetermined, can we control that randomness?
People can debate this stuff forever, I see it as 50/50. But siding with team โwe donโt have free willโ benefits me way more than siding with team "we have free will".
Anxiety only exists thinking about the future.
โBut what ifโฆXโ
โBut what ifโฆYโ
โBut what ifโฆZโ
But if the future was never truly in our control anyway, then whatever happens was always going to happen right?
So just take the leap, it was inevitable anyway. Love the consequences of what you were worried about. People will hate on you, even those close to you. Love it.
Remember you will die one day, as will all memories of you and any legacy you leave behind.
Say you make it to 90 yrs old, will you be thinking 'I am so glad I didn't try that thing I really wanted to try and took the safe, cautious, anxiety filled road instead.
You're a fkn weapon. Just give it a try. If it works out for you, love it. If you fall flat on your face, have a laugh at yourself and love it, it's just part of your story.
