This time last year, 21-year-old striker Barney Stewart was playing for Heriot-Watt University in the East of Scotland First Division (7th tier) and he has now received a call-up for Scotland U21s. Currently in his fourth and final year of a Sport & Exercise Science degree, Stewart became the first ever Heriot-Watt student to move into full-time football whilst still studying when he joined Falkirk in January of this year. Scoring two goals in 16 appearances as Falkirk were crowned Championship winners, Stewart joined Dunfermline on loan this summer and has scored four goals in his first six games. Stewart is one of three Dunfermline players in Scot Gemmill’s Scotland U21s squad along with Andy Tod and Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen. 👇🏻 (Continue):
