Everyone harping on CTR since the data leak & in my 20 years being hands on sites I have seen this influence around 2015 & less now. In fact some sites we used CTR strategies on dropped. So since 2018 ish we have not used a single click to rank a site & hit Top 3 & Top 5.

CTR and Chrome data. Seem to be the most talked about out of 14,000 factors. Yet I have put sites in the Top recently without either. Anyone have any hands-on experience results to share on this?

Beyond parasite seo, looking for a medical device for an elder, I could not believe how spammed out Google is by “best” products & “best” services. Showing sites small & well known sites that develop articles solely to be able to click to affiliate links. It’s bad. #google

I would prefer to simply find several products/services and make a decision myself than to find articles or lists that are geared to make the host site money vs. an honest article on a product I need to find.

I am better off searching directly on Amazon or some other health site that offers the product. So quality raters may see E-E-A-T but users are mislead to purchase a fake recommendation. I think E-E-A-T needs to devalue affiliate links on a page or overuse of them. #AffiliateSEO
