ICYMI yesterday: @GovernorKayIvey signed SB 71 into law, against the wishes of thousands of Alabamians. While this bill is very harmful, ARA and all of our partners across the state will continue our work to protect Alabama’s water, air, and land. #DefendRivers
Unfortunately, we just heard that the Governor signed SB 71. Rest assured this is not the end of this fight for our rivers. #DefendRivers

Now it is up to @GovernorKayIvey to protect her legacy of promoting supporting Alabama’s outdoor recreation assets – assets that provide tens of thousands of jobs, billions of dollars in economic impact, and that strengthen communities across Alabama. alabamarivers.salsalabs.org/…

I really hope this idiotic bill doesn't make it out of the house. A perfect example of what is wrong with the entire system. Guy puts up a bill, written by the lobbying group who donated to his campaign, and it happens all the way to Congress and with both parties.

Our legislators are realizing that the most important thing they can do to protect water in this session is to vote NO on SB 71, the terrible bill that threatens the state's ability to protect Alabamians from toxic chemicals. This bill will NOT be voted on this week - whew!
