Love to see people doing outbound. Nothing beats outbound sales. Once you start reaching out and make your first sale, you’ll understand why so many domainers love it. That said, outbound isn’t easy it takes time, persistence, and resilience. Try to automate as much of the process as possible so you can scale your efforts efficiently. Why don’t you do outbound? Tell me in the comments.
Brunhilde.com sold for $9,999 via GoDaddy. Purchase price: $164 (about one year ago) After inbound sales had been quiet for two months, I started an outbound outreach project on 2 June 2026. This sale became the first result of that initiative. Outbound outreach works!

Congrats @X on this 👏🏻 As a football fan, I love not having to jump between multiple apps just to check scores. Having everything in one place is a game changer, the “everything app” feeling is finally real. Bravo 👏🏻

A $2K offer on a domain I value around $20K is always hard to explain to buyers… but I’ve seen enough to know how this plays out. I’ll probably close this deal anyway, and honestly, I already know I will.

It’s interesting that around 99% of the serious offers I get fall in the $1,000–$2,000 range. I feel like AI tools might be playing a role in shaping how people think about valuations and price ranges. P.S. I usually keep my “Make Offer” starting point at just $100, even for domains that could be worth five or six figures. I prefer to stay open and not miss out on potential buyers, every lead matters.

GM 😎 Domain sale: cash today or equity tomorrow? Would you like marketplaces to offer an equity option when selling your domains?
Here's the story of how we paid $0 for a domain worth ~$250k So at the beginning of the year we explored renaming in order to launch 2.0 of our product Mora. We explored different options and we ended up falling in love with the name Mora. But a premium 4-letter dot com can be very very expensive!! We're just a young startup. We don't have that kind of cash. We need to hustle! I spent hours writing down options, asking Claude how to negotiate, etc. And then i thought… Wait what if we did it in exchange of equity? We had great early traction so far so it didn't hurt to ask. The folks we talked to about it thought we were crazy! Including our domain broker (shout out Justin!) We presented the option to the seller who ended up being open to it (luckily!) We went through some diligence and ended up closing it! I think a great name compounds the same way a great product does. So this effort was worth it!

My biggest daily challenge is keeping a lead engaged while negotiating a healthy margin. The domain industry is unique because there are no real competitors and pricing is often subjective. You can explain the value, show comparable sales, and even use the most advanced appraisal models available, but the reality is that none of them can determine an exact price. A domain is worth what a buyer is willing to pay at a specific moment in time. You can present the best sales history and the strongest valuation data, yet there is still no perfect logic behind many transactions. In many ways, domain names are like luxury goods: sellers set ambitious prices, buyers have their own perception of value, and a deal only happens when both sides agree on what the asset is worth. That’s what makes domain negotiations both challenging and fascinating. Sold Agentic keyword .com 1k🤷🏻‍♂️

GM 😎 One of the best features I used to use on DAN was the rental option. When doing outbound for traffic domains intended for redirects, you often need to prove to the buyer that the traffic will actually convert and deliver value. The rental option was perfect because it allowed buyers to test the domain first, verify the results for themselves, and gain confidence before committing to a full purchase. In many cases, it made the acquisition decision much easier.
For decades, domains have been sold like assets. You either buy them outright or lease-to-own them. Different payment structures, same end result: ownership. Meanwhile, the software world shifted to SaaS. Businesses became comfortable paying for access instead of owning everything outright. Next week we're launching Domain Rentals on Atom. Instead of committing to purchase a domain, businesses can simply pay for the right to use it. Keep it for as long as it creates value. Buy it later if they choose. I don't expect rentals to replace domain sales. But if lowering the commitment expands the pool of businesses willing to use premium domains, it could create an entirely new layer of liquidity for domain investors.

💡 Today's Domaining Tip 💡 Keep an eye on domains using Chinese registrars NS. Nameservers from providers such as Bizcn, Juming, Gname, Xin Net, Alibaba Cloud (HiChina/Wanwang), eName, and other major Chinese domain platforms can sometimes signal activity from investors targeting the Chinese market. Some nameservers worth monitoring include: Bizcn .com Juming Gname Xin Net (北京新网数码信息技术有限公司) Alibaba Cloud / Wanwang (阿里云计算有限公司) eName (厦门易名科技股份有限公司) July Name Limited Dominet (HK) Limited Alibaba Chengdu Tracking drops, transfers, and portfolio movements associated with these providers may help you spot emerging trends, acquisition targets, and domains attracting interest from Chinese buyers before they hit the broader market.

GM 😎 There are two types of people: those who try new things, and those who spend their time criticizing them. Choose which one you want to be. This is a great idea from Sam: a 24/7 live X stream for domain marketing. PS : X should look into how we can properly retweet and amplify live streams in real time.
